Jane is an active ftc board member, having joined the business in 2013.
An independent veterinary consultant, Jane works within all sectors within the food chain from farmer to retailers to provide the consumer with safer food from animals which have had a contented and healthy life.
Jane worked in mixed veterinary practice with the famous author James Heriott. She joined the Meat Hygiene Service and was appointed as the Veterinary and Technical Director with responsibility for setting Operational standards, moving on to become Head of Chemical safety at the Food Standards Agency. She has wide experience of the skills needed within the food industry to ensure the production of a safe and sustainable food supply.
Jane is a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. She is a governor at Askham Bryan/Newton Rigg College which provides insight into current and future policy and financing for further and higher education.
