Terry joined the Food and Drink Training and Education Council Group of Companies – which incorporates FDQ and the Institute of Meat – from AELP, taking up the position of Group Operations Director.
Ftc is a registered food industry skills charity, dedicated to working collaboratively to build a world class food industry in the UK. It is Terry’s responsibility to ensure that ftc effectively provides a range of strategic, professional and representational services to the food industry.
He is also responsible for the leadership and management of group operations. As part of this group remit, Terry will be at the heart of providing increased support to all FDQ centres, helping you make sense of funding and policy to assist in identifying opportunities so you can make the best of your position in the new landscape.
Terry has vast experience of working with both employers and learning providers within the food sector and beyond. He brings with him skills and knowledge of the world of vocational provision which we will deploy to assist you in driving success in your provision.
At AELP Terry was Head of Delivery. As a member of the SFA Further Education Technical Advisory Group (FETAG), he has overseen the development of the new simplified funding system that commences in August this year. To complement this expertise Terry has a depth of knowledge of the food industry, garnered during his time specialising in Apprenticeships at Improve, Sector Skills Council for Food Manufacturing. To complete the circle, as Director of Employer Engagement at a northern college, Terry successfully set up food manufacturing provision from scratch.
